The Council of Representatives for the Native American Indian Community of Rapid City and the Black Hills are trying to protect their health care and save their hospital, the Sioux San Hospital (located in Rapid City, SD).
The Native American community was responsible for the establishment, more than 60 years ago, of the largest Indian Health Service (IHS) Health Care facility in the Region. The Sioux San provided health care for more than 23,000 patients representing more than 325 Indian tribes from across the United States.
Now the Council is seeking financial help for their legal expenses. Helping them with their appeal and additional legal cases; Civil Rights Violations, HIPAA Violations will help restore the hospital and the health care so desperately needed by the community. Defenders of the Black Hills, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, is acting as the fiscal agent for the council.
