The Homeless & The Refugee
Help Us Lend a Hand
Midtown Manhattan, New York, NY, USA

Among New York's crowded streets are tens of thousands of people—adults and children, many of them refugees—who lack a safe place to call home.

Three midtown congregations—Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church, Saint Thomas Church and St. Patrick's Cathedral—are doing our part to help our neighbors find housing.

Until then, they need the basics of daily survival in this city—food and water, warm clothing, public transport and health care. Most are also in need of legal services, mental health services and other kinds of assistance.

For the population we serve, the daily costs can be staggering. The City Streets Survival Fund will pay for sweaters and shoes, bottled water and hand sanitizer. It will provide for public transportation to job interviews and shelters, and for bus tickets home. It will secure emergency housing for a refugee family and replace an immigrant's lost Green Card.

Put simply, this fund will help sustain our neighbors in need as their search for home continues.
