Hello friends and family! I am happy to announce that I am going back to Sierra Leone this winter for another surgical mission. I will be returning with ISHI(International Surgical Health Initiative) at the end of November extending into December. I am absolutely ecstatic; the friends I made there last year have stayed in touch throughout and they are anxiously awaiting the teams arrival.
I am running a short fundraising campaign from now until October 5th if you are able to help support in anyway it is greatly appreciated. The donation for this mission is $1600, this helps to cover basic needs such as airfare, lodging and food. I am grateful to have the support of my employer who grants my requests for time off to do this type of service work.
Volunteering is something that has become near and dear to my heart. The more that you prioritize service to something greater than yourself the more whole you feel. People truly are wired for generosity. Sometimes that translates into a random act of kindness or donation of time or money. Either way keeping this as a part of what comprises your character will lead to genuine happiness.
I am so blessed that am able to take my skills as a nurse around the world and do my part to make positive change. Thank you in advance for your continued support and remember all donations through crowd ride are tax deductible.
