My dog Bruce is 14 years old. I rescued him when he was a few weeks old. He has had a fatty tumor growing on the back on his leg for the last year or so. The vets suggested against surgery to remove it due to his age and the fact it was slow growing. It wasn’t until recently the tumor starting doubling in size, causing it to actually split open and making it difficult to get around. Today, he was seen at the vet to re-evaluate. Though the surgery is high risk because of his age, they agreed to do it this Thursday. The only other option would be is to put him to sleep and we believe he still has a lot more life in him. He is in great health aside from the weight and pain of this ongoing fatty cyst. During COVID-19, I know these times are very tough and stressful on everyone and our community. I, myself have also been cut back on work due to this pandemic. Any donation towards the cost of Bruce’s surgery would be greatly appreciated. His surgery is taking place at Park Circle animal hospital in Hagerstown, MD. All donations will go towards the surgery and pain management in addition to follow up vet visits. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Stay safe and well everyone.
