Children in the Philippines who live in extreme poverty lack access to quality healthcare. They are often denied assistance.
Jordan was born “healthy” at Trinity Hospital in Manila, Philippines. A day after his delivery, he was put under observation because he was constipated. After 48 hours, an x-ray showed that his intestines were clogged. The doctor was advised to transfer him to Manila Doctor’s Hospital (MADOCS) where they are better equipped to handle his case. In MADOCS, after multiple tests, the results showed that his small intestine were getting bigger and his large intestines were decreasing in size, which was the reason for his difficulty to defecate. He was put into whole bowel irrigation for two (2) days and was diagnosed with Hirschsprung Disease.
On August 8, 2019, the doctor suggested that he should be subjected to colostomy operation because of the extreme bloatedness he had.
The doctors advise that he now old enough to undergo a Pull-Through operation and Closure of Colostomy.
