Each year Indo Jax Surf Charities travels to India to take orphan girls on a surf adventure of a lifetime. Found on street corners, in trash cans, in brothels, these girls have had horrific and tragic lives. One girl had her eye gouged out to be a better beggar. Surf gives them hope and helps capture a little bit of a childhood lost. Surfing also teaches them that they have a future and gives them the sense that..."If I can surf, I can do anything!"
The documentary of our India program, My Name Uncle, https://vimeo.com/105518943 has played in film festivals, on networks in the US, Brazil and Poland, as well as several airlines.
