During YouthBuild Philly's upcoming Spring Break, two determined, brilliant and talented young people will have an opportunity to spend 6 days visiting colleges up and down the East Coast, with a focus on Historically Black Colleges and Universities including Howard University, Morehouse University, Clark Atlanta University, Spelman College and North Carolina A&T University. Students will also visit several other prestigious universities along the route, including The University of Pennsylvania, University of Virginia and Wake Forest University. While YouthBuild students have regular access to colleges and universities across the Philadelphia area, this would be the first opportunity these young people would have to visit schools outside of the Delaware Valley, as well as their first exposure to HBCUs.
The six day trip led by College Options Without Walls, LLC will take place from March 25-30, stopping at 11 colleges and universities along the way. Students will not only visit these schools, but will also travel and share accommodations with other college-bound young people, as well as the college acceptance consultant experts from College Options Without Walls. The goal of this experience is to generate further excitement for our Class of 2018 graduates as they continue on their educational journey beyond a high school diploma.
Should we reach our goal, all expenses would be paid for both young people participating in this tour, including travel, accommodations and all meals. We hope that you will make a gift today to provide these young people with a truly unique experience that will shape their futures!
