On June 2, I'll be running 10 miles around the city (aaaah) and chose to dedicate my participation in this event to an awesome local org, Soccer Without Borders Baltimore. Who are they? Well, according to their website: "SWB Baltimore serves newcomer refugee, asylee, and immigrant boys and girls ages 5-21 in Baltimore City and Prince George's County through after-school and summer programs with an emphasis on academic enrichment, English language development, and family engagement." I don't sport too good but SWB does amazing work to support local refugee youth in and out of school and you know how I'm passionate about supporting ELL programs, education, and community engagement. If you are able, please help me support the cause and to reach a personal goal of running (way too many miles).
