New Mexico Women's Reentry Center's mission is to stop the cycle of re-incarceration, by providing training, and support to the women of New Mexico, who are recovering from Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health issues.
A program that is designed to assist women navigate and overcome lifes challenges after incarceration.
My name is Natasha Garcia I am from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I am someone in long term recovery from substance use. After years of drug use and incarceration I decided to turn my life around. For the first time in my life I got help, I got into programs and most importantly I stayed away from drugs. It is by God's grace I am who I am today.
Today I am a mother, a friend and I am a Certified Peer Support Worker that is able to walk with others on their journey to recovery, I am someone who holds the hope for our people, and I am determined to see our people succeed. As the Executive Director of NMWRC, I am passionate about assisting women after incarceration gain the knowledge and the resources they need to become who they are destined to be.
NMWRC is raising funds to get the reentry center started so that we can provide services and contribute to the communities we serve by offering job development, case management, educational programs and to offer encouragement and hope as a peer-run organization.
We ask that you support us in honoring the women who have come before us, and to celebrate those that have yet to find their way.
