Wise Fool needs your help to support our coaches during the COVID-19 pandemic!
Our ability to operate any in-studio programming was forced to a halt by the Coronavirus outbreak. As we are looking towards a future in sharing the arts we are asking for support from our community. We have begun to offer in-studio private lessons and camps as allowed by state regulations. So far there have been about 3 private lessons a week and one camp this week, for having our in-studio programs cancelled since March, this is a success for us. We plan to offer more programming as regulations change and we are committed to prioritizing the safety and equity of everyone in the Wise Fool community.
As our coaches are working to share the joy of circus with Santa Fe, we want to make sure that the physical, emotional and mental needs of our coaches are being met. If they get sick they should stay home and not be penalized. That's why we are asking our community to support us in providing paid sick leave to our coaches. Please donate to support a fair paid sick leave policy at Wise Fool.
No amount of money is too small for a donation. If you can spare even a few dollars, we appreciate your support.
Support Wise Fool’s coaches with a donation to our paid sick leave fund.
Wise Fool has been a part of the Santa Fe arts and culture scene for over 25 years. We are part of the Social Circus community globally and bring benefits to our community through the art of circus, puppetry and theatre. We offer circus classes for adults and kids in camps, studio classes and intensives. We also offer performances around the city that bring delight! We believe that Wise Fool creates a community where we can explore ourselves in an inclusive space for being unapologetically ourselves. As we can gather we are committed to continuing to share the benefits of circus arts with our city.
Quotes from our Wise Fool families:
"Our family’s favorite thing about Wise Fool is that their youth programs offer a safe space for unique kids. Our unique kid has participated in After School Fools for four years and has thrived. We are regularly amazed at the skills he has learned and his willingness to participate in activities outside his comfort zone. The coaches’ kind, accepting, and fun approach meets kids where they are and encourages a co-operative, supportive class culture. This approach has been a perfect fit for our son. We think Wise Fool exemplifies the best version of Santa Fe’s “City Different” civic values: creativity, collaboration, and inclusion. We encourage everyone to donate what you can to help keep this beautiful community asset available to all our community’s unique kids."

“Wise Fool is always there for me, from the time I was born I was spending time there and having a blast. My favorite thing about wise fool is probably the community, most of the people who work there have known me since I was like two and they are just the nicest people I’ve ever met. Most of my best friends I met at Wise Fool and even with this closure we still talk daily. And Wise Fool is an outlet for me to get everything out without talking about it.”
"I'm Revely Rothschild, I'm sixteen years old, and I've been coming to Wise Fool since I was six. This is my fourth year as member of Teen Troupe, and in the past I've been both a camper and a counselor in summer camps at the studio. Having spent over half my life at Wise Fool, I can confidently say two things: I've never experienced a more supportive community, and without that community, I wouldn't be the person I am today. My coaches are the kindest people I know, and they have never stopped encouraging me to be better while also accepting me for who I am and the abilities I already have. On top of that, I've met a lot of really incredible people because of Wise Fool. I feel really lucky to know them, and I feel even luckier to be part of such an amazing organization!"
