The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCDV) whose mission is to bring awareness and resources to this public health and social crisis.
Domestic violence (DV) is and has been an ongoing problem in the United States and has been further exacerbated by COVID 19. As people have been forced into isolation as a result of the pandemic, domestic violence (DV) has increased. On a typical day, before COVID-19, there were more than 20,000 phone calls placed to domestic violence hotlines nationwide, and while many hotlines have reported increases in calls, there is just a much concern that victims are trapped with their abusers in isolation.
NCADV’s 19th national domestic violence conference is scheduled for October 25th through 28th in person in St. Louis as well as virtually. If you are interested in attending go to link: If you cannot attend but want to support the NCADV mission, you can contribute to support the conference through Go Fund Me Charities by clicking on link. Every dollar helps, no matter how large or small, and will help the advocates and survivors who attend to continue efforts to stop domestic and intimate partner violence.
