A Note From TADA!
Since 1984, TADA! has provided high-quality musical theater productions, Arts-Education classes and camps, and positive youth development programming to more than 800,000 New York City youth. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have suspended all onsite programming. We are excited to say that we have begun offering many virtual programs that provide entertainment, social-emotional learning, creativity, and have social time for youth and teens to be together.
TADA!’s earned income is almost non-existent due to the forced cancellation of Spring classes, school break camps, in-school and afterschool residencies, and the Summer Production of Rabbit Sense. TADA! still does have many bills to pay at this time so that we can continue to offer virtual programs and be ready to hold in-person programs when the time is right including payroll, health insurance, general insurance, technology, rent, electricity, and various other bills.
The TADA!’s staff have implemented many programs to continue to keep our TADA! extended family connected including:
-Weekly E-Blast from Executive Director Nina as well and weekly Quote of the Week
-Consistently updating our Website
-Personal text, calls, emails to Ensemble Members from Ensemble staff to check in regularly
-TADA! Song Social Media Challenge
-Sing and Dance with TADA! - learn a new musical number every Saturday - free for the public
-Adding musical numbers to TADA!’s YouTube channel to view for free from home
-TADA! Education student writing project
-Winter semester Education students are receiving virtual lessons and will continue semester with remote classes
-Private voice, dance, acting lessons & small group classes starting in May
-Streaming of past TADA! Mainstage Original Productions for free to the public
-Bi-weekly HOT (Hang Out Time) and small group affinity Zoom meetings for Ensemble Members
-Monthly Youth Council Meetings
-Read-thru of classic musicals & TADA! shows
We need your help to ensure TADA!’s future! We want to be able to serve our current and future Ensemble Members and families for years to come. We appreciate any contribution to keep our mission and our TADA! family thriving.
