Becoming an airline pilot is a complex and expensive endeavor, a dream that can seem unattainable for many. Our organization aims to break down many barriers to aspiring pilots by providing career advice, networking opportunities, and the ability to give out scholarships.
Our first scholarship was held in Fall 2019 where we received over 100 applications. Using a de-identified application process and multiple-pass grading system, we eliminate bias in the grading process, awarding the most deserving applicant on a variety of aspects, both related and unrelated to aviation. Our previous recipient held multiple positions in the industry, recently working as an airline dispatcher. You can read more about her story on our social media page - we will share updates on her progress throughout training.
PPOT's culture is rooted in giving. Our Board of Directors has matched last year's giving of $1500, and we would like to give you the opportunity to help us run a second scholarship this year. We are always interested in innovative funding methods, and we would love to ask your participation with a donation that will help a future aviator.
Professional Pilots of Tomorrow (PPOT) is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization aimed at connecting aspiring pilots to a diverse and well-knowledged volunteer mentor group, composed of practicing airline pilots, corporate jet pilots, and instructors around the nation. PPOT's mentors provide confidential, insightful, and unbiased mentoring to pilots so they can make the most informed decisions on a career path that would best suit them.
After awarding the scholarships, we will share the stories of the winners on our social media, as well as detail how they used the funds.
Thank you for your participation, and please share this with your family and friends!
