Tucson Police K9 Unit had one of their K9’s became very ill and needed medical attention for months before being cleared for duty. After going back to work, Nova caught a bad guy who, in the process of the arrest, bite the dog causing serious injury. The medical bills, for just this dog alone, were in excess of 15K. This cost depleted the funds earmarked for bite suits. Bite suits are not cheap – between $1,500 to $2,000 each. The ones they have now are well over 12 years old. They have huge holes in them and are not adequate for training purposes. Law Matters is a 501c3 (TPD is not) and want to help raise funds to buy suits as well as support Law Matters. Please help us help others by donating and spreading the word to everyone you know. Our police work 24.7 protecting us, we need to protect them back and get them this much needed equipment.
