Dear Friends of Madrigal Chorale,
Since our last email to you, we have been notified of additional sad news: our AmaWaterways River Cruise on the Danube river has been cancelled. Madrigal Chorale was scheduled to sing in June for our fellow international passengers and share our beautiful music in famous venues in Europe.
To keep our spirits high and continue the extraordinary tradition of Madrigal Chorale, we are starting to plan our 2020-2021 season. In order to sustain us through our 106th season, continue our community service, and maintain our scholarship program for high school choral departments, we are seeking donations to a GoFundMe campaign.
GoFundMe is matching donations to charities that raise $1,000 by May 5, 2020. If our friends and fans donate $1,000 total, the GoFundMe Charity will match your donations with another $1,000. $2,000 in donations would aid us significantly in carrying out our mission of excellence in music and service to our community despite our significant loss of revenue in 2020. With your support, for example, we can continue our proud history of supporting other charities such as Lighthouse North, Haven, Toys For Tots, Give-A-Christmas Year Round Fun, Mosaic Youth Theater Of Detroit, Lupus Alliance, Habitat For Humanity, Children’s Leukemia Society Of Michigan, Shelter Of Flint, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Ryan Rocks!!! Outdoor Adventures, Sisters of Mercy at The McAuley Center, and Resident Veterans at the John D. Dingell Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
If you are not able to support us before May 5, please visit our donate tab on our website www.madrigalchorale.org. We will profoundly appreciate any monetary support you are able to provide at any time.
Everyone in Madrigal Chorale sends their best wishes to our friends and families for good health,
Rick Blauvelt – President, Madrigal Chorale
