Logan Circle Main Street (LCMS), a program of District Bridges, serves the businesses, organizations, and individuals who live, work and play in this unique community. We provide direct technical assistance to local businesses to help them thrive and plan local events and promotions that draw people to the neighborhoods, create volunteer opportunities, and connect stakeholders.

Despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, LCMS provided much needed support to 120 neighborhood businesses (70% of total businesses in the corridor) through over 400 hours of technical assistance in 2020. Support included:
- 13 individual businesses supported through $33,000.00 in direct grants

- 1 individual business supported through $2,500.00 in public safety emergency support
- 63 individual business supported through $5,00.00 in promotional support for events such as Dog Days of Summer, Shop Small Saturday and Holiday Lights
Of particular note for LCMS was being able to assist 29 restaurants apply for streatery applications, heater and winter tent permits and provide funding for streatery fences. (District Bridges is responsible for 53 of DC’s 234 streateries (23% of all parklets and sidewalk seating permits.) LCMS assisted businesses apply for and win six local and several national grant programs. In fact, a Logan Circle Business, Cork Wine Bar and Market, won one of only 31 grants provided through the nationally competed HartBeat of Main Street Grant Program. LCMS was also able to partner with DC Shop Small and keep a Logan Circle tradition, the Dog Days of Summer Sidewalk Sale, alive by taking it virtual and expanding it to include 200 businesses across the District. In our post event survey of participants, 80% of respondents said they found new customers and over 60% saw an increase in sales.
