AWARE has been caring for the under-privileged animals of Guatemala for a long time, and we’re not going to let a global health scare stop us! The current situation is certainly making the life of the Shelter more difficult – restrictions on mobility, reduced availability of volunteers, and less visits from friends old and new – but when you’ve taken on responsibilities, you have taken on responsibilities, and we have over 400 of them.
Perhaps more than usual, we are counting on your generosity to help us continue the work. The goal of this month’s appeal is to raise US$2000, partly because we agreed a few weeks ago - before the current health measures were put in place - to take in an old horse found abandoned on Volcano Fuego. We need to build her a stable - an additional and unexpected expense.
Please remember that every little helps, and is much appreciated.
On behalf of all our furry residents we send you a big THANK YOU as always for all your help and support!
