Hindu Students Council seeks your generous financial support Giving Tuesday NOW. Our goal is to raise $1000 today to receive the $1000 match from the GoFundMe Charity Organization! Please support us in this goal!
Today is Giving Tuesday. Under the strain of COVID-19, many students are unable to host their regular Hindu activities on campus or connect with others. We are providing many virtual opportunities, from Gita sessions, Pranayama and Meditation sessions, Quiz Bowl challenges, career panels and talks by experts, and virtual meeting opportunities. Your generous donations would go towards supporting our students in these challenging times.
Since the start of the CoronaVirus Pandemic, our donations have dropped significantly as people donate to very worthy COVID causes. As a nonprofit organization, though, we still have many operating expenses that include website hosting and maintenance, storage facilities and chapter of the year awards. In addition, we are hosting a wide range of online virtual events. To run those, we are paying for online meeting accounts, speaker honorariums to support artists, contest prize money for student participants, etc. We need support from our members to be able to continue doing all the great things HSC does to to preserve and propagate the ancient and noble Hindu heritage on college campuses and beyond.
Being part of a community you know and trust makes all the difference --- please help us create this positive change for many other young Hindu students today.
HSC’s vision is to create enlightened Hindu leaders in all walks and spheres of life - in academia, law, medicine, technology, business, politics, and journalism.
HSC, a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization, is the largest pan-Hindu youth organization in North America. Over the last 30 years, an estimated 150,000 students worldwide have participated in HSC's activities and experienced the immense treasures and the wisdom of the great Hindu culture. These activities consist of authentic celebrations of Hindu festivals, discussions on Hindu identity and issues faced by Hindus, Bhagavad Gita study sessions, Diwali Poojas, weekly meetings, regional seminars, global conferences and many more.
Some key highlights of HSC’s 2018-2019 activities are included in our Annual Report. (https://hindustudentscouncil.org/)
