FSARS is the Federal Special Anti Robbert Squad, a unit of Nigerian Police Force charged with fighting robbery in Nigeria. Since 2017, they have oppressed us people in Nigeria with their murder, excessive force, assault, and wrongful imprisonment.
Now more than ever, they are threatening all of our lives. We need your help in distributing first aid kits and providing emergency medical support. Every dollar you give can help save lives.
These funds will support our activists in Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Ife-Ife, Enugu, Kaduna, Ado Ekiti, Akure, and Ondo.
Our climate justice group, International Student Environmental Coalition Nigeria, has a strong track record of protecting our communities and the most vulnerable since 2016. We have trained over 10,000 young people across the country in climate justice activism. We know that climate justice is inextricable from police brutality. When climate disasters inevitably hit, we must be able to trust that our public safety forces are ones that serve to protect us.
Our broader organization, the International Student Environmental Coalition, has 501(c)3 status in the United States. All funds will be distributed directly to our frontline activist board here in Nigeria. We will publish updates on our use of the funds on our social media accounts. Transparency is incredibly important to us, and you can direct any questions, concerns, or follow-up about your donation to firstname.lastname@example.org.
