Patricia came to the US from Grenada in 2014 wanting to help others who deal with mental health issues. She pursued a Master’s degree in mental health. She then became a qualified mental health counselor, but tragically lost her job because of immigration issues while pursuing the hours for her license. Although Patricia tried to resolve her immigration situation, US Customs gave her incorrect information about how to correct her visa issues and thereby eliminated any chance of her being able to stay in the US. Patricia’s job loss and financial problems could cause her family to lose their home in Grenada where both she and her family grew up and live in to this day.
US Customs has told Patricia that she must leave the country before the end of the year. She now needs to return to Grenada and find employment. She doesn’t have the money to travel home, yet she also needs to pay off her debts caused in part by her mother's death several years ago. Additionally, she needs medical attention for a serious eye condition that may develop into blindness if left untreated. Between the flight, her eye care, and debts, she needs to raise about $15,000. Please consider helping Patricia to get back home, get eye care and keep her and her family from homelessness until she is employed.
