This summer, my sister Hana and I will be biking BORDER to BORDER from Seattle, Washington to San Diego, California, to advocate for all 11 million undocumented immigrants, share my immigration story and to meet Americans from all walks of life (and get fit). Despite the obvious risks, Hana and I felt the responsibility to join this bike tour and advocate for all 11 million undocumented immigrants in the states because we have the privileges of physical capability, access to higher education/resources and much lower chance of being targeted by immigration law enforcement as young Asian American women. I believe that the most effective way to help people understand and feel why we need citizenship for all, is through personally connecting with them and showing them that undocumented immigrants are also human beings who deserve equality.
If you'd like to join me physically please join the team and bike with us for short-term. You can also come out to our civic engagement events/actions throughout the west coast. Please follow @citizenship4allice on Instagram to stay updated and check out our website godreamriders.org
If you'd like to join me in spirit, please consider donating. My team and I will remember you as we bike for 37 days. And I will dedicate song covers to 3 donors (chosen randomly) throughout the bike tour!
Any amount helps. The fact that you're contributing to help advocate for our undocumented immigrant community will give us all the strength to bike for 37 days straight.
If you'd like to get more involved, we have other fun and meaningful ways to participate.
This bike tour campaign is organized by the most compassionate and awesome human beings and the most progressive Korean American non-profit organizations, KRC, NAKASEC and HANA Center.
Go Dream Riders!!! 화이팅!!
