The Bhutanese Community Organization of Minnesota (BCOM) needs your help!
Bhutanese Community Organization of Minnesota (BCOM) has been serving the Bhutanese Refugee community in the Twin Cities areas (St. Paul, Minneapolis and surrounding areas) for many years, but the Trump administration's policies have caused a reduction in new refugee arrivals as well as in funding. BCOM needs your support in order to provide needed case managment support to Bhutanese families living in Minnesota. BCOM has had to reduce the hours of staff available to provide this needed case managment. BCOM's case workers assist and empower refugees in areas of employment, elder's support, healthcare, insurance, woman's empowerment, citizenship, English language learning, etc.
The Bhuatnese community in Minnesota is gearing up for the empowerment of Bhutanese youths in Minnesota. We have a long term vision to uplift our youths in different fields like education, sportsmanship, leadership development, drug abuse awareness and many more but, we need your support. We are facing financial crisis at this time. We also have a vision of providing transportation to our elders to English language class and citizenship class. It will be our pride to have one van which we have been dreaming since a long time to provide trasportation service to our elders. We would be able to take our elders to diiferent recreational centers if we have transportation. At this time, volunteer members are providing transportation. We can't thank them enough for their dedication for our community. It would also help to travel our youths to different cities for games and sports.
Your generous contribution will join a larger effort to provide support to the Bhutanese Refugee community in Minnesota. It will allow case managers to provide more hours of support to families in need. It will also demonstrate your support and solidarity with refugees in this challenging political time.
On behalf of BCOM and the Bhutanese Community we thank you for your generocity.
