Backyard Sports Cares (BYSC) is currently competing for a $25,000 grant from the Gannett Media Company, which owns local newspapers throughout the United States, including the Journal News, which covers our local Westchester communities. If BYSC were fortunate enough to win this generous grant, the proceeds would go directly into supporting our mission of delivering quality sports programs to the local communities in greatest need of them. Specifically, the money would fund and grow the BYSC Soccer and Basketball Leagues, which provide a travel team type experience for 4th and 5th grade boys and girls living in Westchester’s economically disadvantaged communities.
To win the $25,000 grant, we need the help of the communities we serve. In order to be a finalist to win the grant, BYSC (and all non-profits competing), have to raise a minimum of $3,000 through our Crowdrise campaign. We sincerely hope that you consider contributing to this campaign and help us reach our goal of $3,000 to be eligible to win the larger $25,000 grant. No contribution is too small. Thanks in advance for your support!
