Like many organizations all over the world, our fundraising planned for this spring and summer has been greatly impacted. Due to the world events impacting non-profits everywhere, May 5th has been designated as #GivingTuesdayNow; A global day of giving around the world for people to stand together in unity--to use their individual power of generosity to remain connected and heal.
While much of our world has stood still, the needs of those we support have not. Newly bereaved families are facing unprecedented challenges on top of their new and raw grief. Families who are further removed from their losses are experiencing a unique mix of anxiety for the health and well being of family members but drawing on the hard earned resilience they developed along their grief journey and using it to help others around them.
The SUDC Foundation's support services have not only continued but expanded to meet the unique needs of this extraordinary time. This includes hosting virtual social hours, offering coping resources and capitalizing on the talents of our own community to offer educational and engaging online programming for families.
As new challenges arise, we will work each day to adapt and grow our tailored services to meet the needs of our worldwide community. We want to be able to continue and fulfill our mission in promoting awareness, advocating for research, and supporting those affected by sudden unexpected or unexplained death in childhood.
All donations made to the Foundation during the #GivingTuesdayNow campaign will help us meet our commitment to serving the evolving needs of the SUDC community, and, as always, at no cost to families.
Please help the SUDC Foundation and make a donation today.
