New Life Centers of Chicagoland works with young people and their families in Chicago. For the past two weeks we have turned to Emergency response, remote mentoring, street outreach, food provisions, and emergency provisions for families we work with. We are creating the Stronger Together Response Fund.
In the last few weeks we have delivered emergency food provisions to over 250 families. We are mentoring youth who are currently incarcerated and isolated through this pandemic. We are working with the city and other agencies to widen the safety net and bring hope and healing.
This fund will be used to provide hope and healing through provisions to families in need during the COVID Crisis. One immediate need is expanding our fresh food storage. We have commercial grade refrigerators being donated to our facility and need around $4000 to install them and purchase the equipment necessary to get them up and running. This will more than triple our storage capacity. We will also use the money for supplies, gas, and resources needed to increase our delivery capacity for our bread of life team.
The rest of the funds will be used for emergency provision for families we interact with. A gift in any amount helps. We are Stronger Together!
