Children in the Philippines who live in extreme poverty lack access to quality healthcare. They are often denied assistance.
Richjean is 18 months old and lives in the Philippines with her family. Her mother reached out to us on Facebook, asking for help for her daughter.
As you can see, Richjean has hydrocephalus. Her parents cannot afford the surgery she needs and the waiting list for surgery in the charity ward is very long. We are looking into how we can help her get surgery. It is made more difficult currently due to COVID restrictions.
In the meantime we want to help with her basic needs. She needs a stroller as her mother struggles to carry her due to the weight of her head. She also needs an inflatable bath, pillows to support her head, diapers, formula, medicated ointment and gauze pads.
Can you help us provide comfort to this sweet girl?
