As many of you know, my youngest brother Joseph was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at the age of five. The diagnosis was devastating and rocked our world, but we decided as long as Joseph's smile kept lighting up rooms, we would keep fighting.
Since founding Team Joseph, a 501c3 nonprofit, my mom and our incredible family and friends have come together to raise an incredible amount of money to fund cutting edge research.

About Team Joseph and Duchenne:
Duchenne muscular dystrophy is the most common degenerative neuromuscular disease in boys. As most boys are growing bigger and gaining strength and independence, boys with Duchenne are losing muscle function daily. Most lose the ability to walk and are confined to a wheelchair by the age of 12. Then Duchenne attacks their heart and lungs. There is no treatment and no cure. It is 100% fatal.
Team Joseph’s mission is to aggressively fund cutting-edge research to find a treatment or cure for Duchenne and to help families with financial assistance related to the care of a child or young adult with Duchenne.
Our goal is for this generation – Joseph’s generation – to be the first to survive Duchenne muscular dystrophy and to ease the financial and emotional burden of caring for a child with Duchenne. YOU can help us accomplish this. It’s time to Strike Out Duchenne!
