As most of you know, my nephew Nathan was diagnosed with Duchene Muscular Dystrophy a few years ago. To say that his diagnosis has rocked our family's world would be an understatement. I am so proud of this kid. He is seriously the toughest, bravest kid I have ever seen. Since his diagnosis he has been through countless exams, IV's, injections, and the list goes on and on. I have seen him during these appointments, and not ONCE has he complained, or cried during a poke. My sister, her husband and my other nephew have also been brave and gracious. They are so strong, faithful, and hopeful. I know I could never go through what they have to go through, with so much grace and faith. It is difficult and heart wrenching for me to see what they have to endure and think about what the future will bring for my Nathan. But good news! YOU have the chance to make his future better! Things are already getting better because Team Joseph continues to help fund cutting edge research and we are seeing those efforts become reality. Earlier this year the first ever Gene Therapy treatment was given to 3 boys as part of a trial at Columbus Children's Hospital. Team Joseph was one of the organizations that helped fund this $2.2m dollar grant.
