Hello, and welcome to Stride for Stride: Miles that Matter. We are a group of high school students from Bainbridge Island, Washington who want to raise awareness about refugees and asylees around the world through the local non-profit organization In-Sight Collaborative.
The Brothers Campaign is an In-Sight project dedicated to helping and supporting a very deserving group of displaced men and boys who are seeking asylum in Chios, Greece. To raise money for this project, we are organizing a run this June!
Our goal is to raise $2,500 as a team by finding people to sponsor a certain number of miles. 2,500 miles represents the average distance a refugee must travel to reach safety.
Funds from this project will go towards In-Sight's work providing food, clothing, and basic living support to refugees in Greece. In-Sight also recognizes the importance of autonomy and empowerment for these displaced populations, so all of their aid interventions are done with the input and support of the community to create a sense of independence and helping ensure that donor dollars are used as meaningfully as possible.
If you are unable to contribute financially, join us on our runs! Sign up using this google form to learn how to track your miles!
In a time where coming together for team sports and other activities is not safe, we hope to create a digital running group where we can find unity and collectivism and work together to reach our goal!
