Next month, my team of 3 girls will be competing in an all-female CrossFit competition called GIRLS GONE RX to support breast cancer awareness. We are excited (and nervous) to compete at this level of premier competition. We would sincerely appreciate your support as we attempt to raise money to support The Bright Pink Foundation. This cause is very important and near and dear to our hearts as we have two Grandmothers who have fought the battle with breast cancer. We hope that our efforts as a team will be an inspiration and stand as a symbol of hope for those currently fighting this battle.
Girls Gone RX was created by Lindsey and Kris Marcelli, owners of CrossFit Eminence! It started with the idea of getting women together to benefit a great cause showcasing women’s strengths and weaknesses, because those are the two most important parts of battling something like cancer. You have to learn to be strong even when you’re feeling weak, but sometimes you also have to be willing to be weak and allow your team to support you. This team event raises money for Bright Pink, a national non-profit organization focused on prevention and early detection of breast cancer and ovarian cancer. Visit BrightPink.org/Programs to learn about Bright Pink’s programs and how your donation makes a difference.
