Substance Use Disorder is a phrase that tends to draw a line in the sand. You feel like these words have no effect on you or those you love... or you know all about this struggle.
Whether from alcohol or drugs, the CRUSH Coalition united through Community Strong is hosting the Stomp Out Stigma Virtual Walk to raise funds aimed to bring awareness and education about how substance use disorder and its collective impact on all of us. CRUSH is passionate about making a real difference in our region and eliminating the devastating effects of substance use disorders in our community.
The money raised through this event will be used to host community outreach programs such as the Teen Drug Summit and our newest initiative, the Parent Drug Summit. We are so grateful and appreciative of any support at any level.
Hope must be a possibility for people with substance use / misuse disorders and our whole community benefits when we work to remove stigmas around treatment and recovery.
Our sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, cousins, loved ones, friends and co-workers can thrive then and become the foundation for others to find hope, healing and a pathway forward.
Getting the word out is key so please share the link to your Facebook timeline by October 10th!
