St. John's Lutheran Challenges

Grace, Healing, and Peace to you in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ,

The mission and ministry of St. John's Church and School continues even as the world around us is challenged by COVID-19. Despite our physical distance during these last few months, we have stood together as a community. We look forward to once again filling the pews of our church and the desks of our school. To do this safely, we will need to prepare and repair our building.

You may have already heard about the exorbitant bill for an emergency boiler replacement; without this boiler, neither the school nor the church can operate. We also had to make significant safety repairs to our bell tower - one of the defining features of our church and school.

This summer our church and school staff worked thoughtfully and prayerfully to create a plan that would allow in-person worship for congregants and in-person learning for students. This plan’s deep commitment to safety requires extra cleaning services, ample sanitation supplies, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and upgrades to our technology to enable remote opportunities.

While any one of these needs are challenging on their own, all three of them within this short period of time has placed an impossible strain on our resources. They are vital to the safe reopening of the school and return of worshipers to our church. Please support us by donating to St. John’s in any amount you are able to give. Generous donors within our community have pledged to match the first $10,000 raised as part of this campaign. Please join us in our unified mission by giving a tax-deductible donation today.

Thank you for your generosity,

In Christ,
St. John's Church and School
