We know these are challenging times for all of us. We want you to know that our team is still working and staying busy, dedicated to providing the essential daily care for the animals- cleaning and feeding as well as exercising, training and lots of other forms of enrichment- to ensure they remain happy and healthy.
Spring is normally some of our busiest months but all of our school programs and community events were cancelled due to Covid-19 closures and shelter orders. This has had a dramatic impact on our environmental education organization, resulting in more than $75,000 in important lost revenues so far. Thouands of northern CA students and adults are missing the opportunity to see these amazing animals while they make vital connections about science and nature, the critical roles of wildlife and ecosystems as well as the importance of conservation and compassion.
That income is used towards the mortgage so the animals can remain in their forever home with us. It enables up to purchase the specialized foods they require to stay healthy as well veterinary care and treatment when needed.
We would be grateful for your support today, helping us to care for these awe-inspiring animals as we navigate through these uncertain times.
