Support Nature Education and Play at HHNM!
Every year thousands of children come to the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum to hike the trails, meet the animals, and participate in our science and nature based education programs, including school field trips, preschool, and summer camp. They leave with a greater understanding of the environment and their place in it; they’re a little more willing to unplug from the digital world they live in and reconnect to the natural world they belong to. My children were lucky enough to attend preschool here, and they have benefitted tremendously from it.
Time spent in nature is absolutely vital for a child’s healthy development. And because children who experience nature will love it, and children who love nature will grow to be adults who protect it, it’s crucial to the well-being of our planet too.
This is a mission I believe strongly in. Please join me in raising funds to support nature play and education at the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum! Your charitable donation will be used to give children from across the Hudson Valley the opportunity to experience the wonder of nature first-hand, planting the seeds of environmentalist ethics in each of them.
