FITNESS FOR FREEDOM
I am someone who enjoys being active. Whether it be jogs along the beach, exploring a new city on foot, hitting up the gym, or home workout videos.... I try to incorporate exercise and movement every day. Being a dietitian, I am very passionate about eating healthy food that nourishes your body and movement. I thought it would be a great idea to use this passion towards a worthy cause-- FREECEMBER!! During the month of December, the more active I am, the more money that goes towards Beauty for Ashes who is focussed on fighting human trafficking in Morocco and North Africa.
When you decide to either join my team challenge, or give support with each step I take, you will be helping to give Beauty for Ashes the opportunity to hire two positions for one year! Our goal is to hire a local Program Coordinator at our Transition Home who will receive counseling training and important skills training for the home, as well as an Advocacy Director for our Education and Awareness programs.
STEPS challenge outline:
Consider giving $1 for every 10,000 steps I take every day for the month of December. That means that if I don't reach 10,000 steps in the day, you owe $0.00 for that day. If I take 20,000 steps one day, you would owe $2.00 for that day. I will post screen shots of my FitBit each day as proof of steps to Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #STEPStofighthumantrafficking.
Day 1 (10,500 steps) = $1
Day 2 (25,000 steps) = $2
Day 3 (4,500 steps)= $0
Day 4 (13,000 steps)= $1
