We at Factur, are a membership driven community that houses small businesses and educates the community. During the pandemic it has been hard for members to be physically at our facility and we have seen a temporary 45% decline in membership. Our hands-on educational programs were halted in March 2020. Our income has declined by 42%, yet our rent has increased. It has also been hard on the resident businesses at Factur to operate as normal. We are struggling, as is everyone right now, but wanted to ask for any help that any of our patrons, friends, and admirers could possibly spare. We are looking forward to a big 2021 and hoping to get back to normal just like everyone else.
We pride ourselves on providing a facility that enables artists/craftspeople to complete an array of projects from conceptualization to completion, as well as harboring multiple business under the same roof. We help local businesses with projects that are often difficult and potentially costly, by working one on one to help fix problems or create one of a kind projects, while also trying to minimize the fabrication and materials costs.
During this pandemic, We have made and donated thousands of PPE for local hospitals and healthcare workers, and are still prepared to help in these community-support projects at any time. Among the community service projects, we also have done countless commissions for private businesses and offer educational classes in Wood, Metal, CNC, Laser engraving/cutting, 3D printing, ceramics, wood turning, textiles/sewing, and glass blowing. With Factur in the community, we help solve problems for the local Orlando community and beyond.
Any donations we receive will go into helping with operating expenses for FACTUR.
Thank you so much and your contributions will be really appreciated!
