Georgia's "Fetal Heartbeat" law restricts a woman from access to a safe abortion beyond six weeks into pregnancy; in reality, before most women are aware that they are pregnant.
This law, along with similar legislation proposed across the United States, serves as a political ploy aimed at eventually overturning the Supreme Court's ruling in Roe V. Wade. Such injunctions violate fundamental rights of women.
We are the Georgia film community and we support women's rights.
The goal of Stay and Fight GA is to raise money in resistance to the Fetal Heartbeat Law signed by Governor Brian Kemp and to show the state of Georgia we won't flee or boycott in the face of adversity.
We will Stay and Fight.
The funds donated to this group will go to the Georgia chapter of ACLU to support their upcoming battle as we believe that access to healthcare should not be restricted for any person and we reject Governor Kemp’s wanton negligence to humane policy.
Kemp and the Heartbeat Law DO NOT represent the people of Georgia — we are ready to take action and ask that you join us in this fight.
