“PORTS” Pediatric Oncology Rare Tumor Sarcoma Program
Research Led By Dr. Carolyn Fein Levy
Jason was diagnosed with a Rare Tumor Sarcoma of the tongue in February of 2015. To make a very long story short, Jason immediately endured seven rounds of inpatient chemotherapy for three days every three weeks at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, along with three months on a chemotherapy pill and thirty seven rounds of proton radiation, which was done in Somerset, New jersey at the ProCure Proton Center. Additionally, he had two mediport surgeries at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, four blood and platelet transfusions, multiple CT Scans, MRI’S, PET Scans and X-rays. Finally, on October 27, 2016, we received the greatest news ever - no evidence of disease.
Jason’s journey was not easy, he is still visiting his doctors and still getting his scans. He is living his life to the fullest and now wants to once again help others that may have to go through what he went through and make a difference in this world. Jason wants to raise money for Dr. Fein Levy’s “PORTS” Program. We as a family are very committed to helping this program and finding a cure for this terrible disease. No child should have to go through what Jason went through. If we can help one family or help the advancement of the “PORTS” program we will be very grateful. We need your help in reaching our donation goal of $10,000. We thank you all in advance for your help in making a difference and finding a cure.
