Help us support our employees during this time of need.
Founded and majority-led by refugees, the Refugee Dream Center serves as a beacon of hope and a home away from home for the refugee community in Rhode Island. More than ever, refugee families are in need of assistance as they confront the stresses created by COVID-19, which are compounded by preexisting socioeconomic disadvantages.
Since its conception in 2015, the RDC has successfully carried out efforts to support approximately 300 refugees annually through our various programs, including case management, health promotion, adult education and youth mentoring. COVID-19 has not changed staff members' dedicated efforts to ensure clients receive the resources they need to sustain good health and well-being.
These days, we are safely purchasing and distributing essential supplies, routinely checking in on families to assess and address their most urgent needs, and implementing creative strategies for reaching out to Adult ESL and Refugee Youth Dream students so they may continue their learning.
Every day, our committed employees work to support Rhode Island refugees. Now, they need your help. Our organization is committed to ensuring that our employees are able to maintain financial stability and provide day-to-day necessities for their families during the coronavirus crisis.
We kindly ask that you join us in supporting our dedicated employees. Your gift will help provide immediate financial support so they can purchase essential food, medicines, and other supplies. Help keep our employees safe and healthy so they can eventually return to their work serving our community.
