My Facebook feed is full of posts about the Syrian civilians caught in Eastern Ghouta. Photos of frightened children, injured people, and dead bodies are doing the rounds of the internet. Since the beginning of the civil war in 2011, over 400,000 people have died in the conflict. Some 13,000 have been executed by the government. Over 4 million people have been rendered homeless and are today refugees. $10,000 is not going to change a lot. But it will help. Give generously. Otherwise, your Facebook outrage is completely useless.
