Seven times a day, someone in this country dies in a house fire, and more than 60 percent of fire deaths occur in homes without working smoke alarms.
That’s why the Red Cross is galvanizing volunteers, first responders and community partners across the country to Sound the Alarm. Save a Life. This fall, we’ll visit more than 100 cities and towns nationwide to install FREE smoke alarms and educate families about fire safety.
Locally, we’re teaming up with fire departments, volunteer groups and local businesses to Sound the Alarm in the Mohawk Valley. On Saturday, April 28, we’ll hold the biggest fire safety event we’ve ever had in the City of Utica. Join us and help save lives from home fires!
A gift of any size helps the Red Cross prepare, respond, and help families recover from home fires. Please support this lifesaving effort and encourage your family and friends to join you. Just share the link to this page and let your circle of friends know why this cause is important to you. Thank you!
