We need your help to keep our student and teachers safe during the 2020-2021 school year. We are reaching out to caring parents and friends of St. Sava Academy for donations to cover the costs of hand-washing stations, disinfectant, no-touch thermometers, and other safety resources. We have been blessed to have a team of volunteers with medical and COVID-safety training advise our school on best practices, and every dollar given for this fundraiser will help cover the costs of supplies.
No donation is ever too small! Thank you in advance for your support and generosity! May God grant you many years!
Our full list of needs, which adds up to $5130 includes:
Portable Hand - Washing Stations for PreK/K/1st + Soap : $1200
Hand Washing stations for outside of upper grades + soap : $800 (2 at $400 each)
Digital no touch thermometers: $490, at $70 per classroom
Paper towels: $600 for 200 rolls
Hand sanitizer: $500 for 100 bottles (We would also love a donation for this if anyone knows a manufacturer--They just have to be 60% alcohol to comply with health standards.)
Disinfectant: $300 for 50 bottles (or as many as we can buy with $300)
Gloves: $60 for 300 gloves to use when cleaning classrooms and bathrooms
Masks: $30 for 150 medical grade masks for food preparation and close contact situations.
Preschool flexible seating to allow for distancing students: $600

P.S. We are also taking donations of cleaning supplies through the school office. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more.
St. Sava Academy, our beloved dual-language elementary school, provides a high-quality education that teaches children to value learning, respect for others, and service within the community, within an Orthodox-Christian parochial setting of Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral. Our teaching model has strong results. 100% of our students are fully bilingual, while 7% speak a third language fluently. We are proud to report that our students perform 2 to 3 years above their grade level in standardized testing. This is made possible through the hard work of our teachers, the support of our benefactors, the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral and local business community, and a strong partnership with our parents.
