Welcome! As we approach our 150th anniversary as a Parish Family, St. Michael Catholic Church serves our members and the larger Cranford community through ministries of worship, religious formation and charitable outreach, pursuing our mission of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed. We seek to develop relationships among our members through opportunities for spiritual growth and Christian service. Our programs include activities for children, for youth and for adults of all ages. During the present health emergency we are striving to maintain support of our members through regular communication by means of our website (stmichaelcranford.org) and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/stmichaelcranford). With public celebrations of Mass suspended until further notice, St. Michael's is live-streaming Mass each Sunday during this crisis: check our website or Facebook page for information about the times of Mass. Our church is open daily for prayer from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Confessions are heard at 12:30 PM Monday through Saturday, and at 7:30 PM Monday evening. Our Parish Office is closed, but messages may be left at 908-276-0360. Please do not hesitate to call if you require the services of a priest. St. Michael School is also closed until further notice.
In the present emergency, our parish's basic operational needs continue: our weekly budgeted revenue goal is $18,000. We are grateful for the ongoing support of our parishioners and other donors, particularly as we draw near to Easter, when we customarily anticipate generous special support. We assure all our parishioners and neighbors of our prayers in these troubling days. As we pass through this very different Lenten season, let us be mindful of those who are ill, locally and across our State, country and world; their families and caregivers; medical and public safety personnel; public health and government authorities; those out of work, and those still at work providing for essential needs of our community. Let us comply with public health and safety advisories, and cooperate in helping to stem the spread, and ease the severity, of this aggressive epidemic. God bless you!

The Archdiocese of Newark
Welcome. The Archdiocese of Newark is coordinating with the team at GoFundMe to provide one online location for the faithful to support the critical needs of their own parish (through this page) or other parish communities (through the Parishes in Need fund). The faithful may also contribute through their usual channels (e.g., envelopes, other online giving, the Annual Appeal).
Please consider a tax-deductible contribution to your parish on the parish’s GoFundMe page, or to the Parishes in Need fund, which will be used to conduct outreach to those in need and support those communities struggling to continue to pay their employees and church utility bills through this crisis. Contributions raised through the parish GoFundMe page will benefit that parish.
Cardinal Tobin has waived the usual archdiocesan assessment for contributions raised through this initiative. GoFundMe does not charge a platform fee (0%). There is a 0% platform fee and only an industry-standard payment processing fee of 1.9% + $0.30 per donation. If a charity receives a donation of $100, they will net $97.80. Donors will also have the option to tip GoFundMe Charity to support their continued business.
Thank you for your generosity to your parish and to those parish communities unable to meet their critical needs alone.
