Good Morning, Afternoon or Evening Family & Friends of St. John Colony and surrounding areas and children of the most High God. I pray as you read this request for help in accomplishing the goals that have been set for the building plans of the St. John Colony Community you will keep an open mind. "Want to join us in making a difference?" We're raising Funds for the ongoing constructions of the Pavilion and Civic Center that will help make an impact in helping this Community to continue serving its many residents. The St. John 19th Body has asked in the past for donations and Volunteers. These request or pleas are still in affect. It does not go without saying as you have surmised that this GoFundMe Charity page is a plea for help in initiating the accomplishments of goals set to finish the “Pavilion” prayerfully in time for the St. John Colony Family Reunion of 2021. Because we are trying to be good Servants, we've volunteered to set this page up for many reasons. First one being, I know that’s what God want for us, secondly it is necessary because our Family & Friends needs as well as the needs of our Community...etc. There's not much time left in accomplishing this Goal to bring forth the completion of the building that will provide Shelter and serve the needs of our community for years to come so that we can continue our celebrations without having to use heat as an excuse not to congregate with our Relatives, Kin and Friends each year. Not only that, but because of foresight we see the need for our community to grow in the process. My personal experience is that I am a Disabled Veteran who use to look forward to seeing Family at least once a year, but then some years ago I found myself not wanting to attend because of the HAH factor. (Heat, Allergies and Hay). Facts are I’ve always had good intentions to go each year, but as the time approached, a feeling of dreading the heat, allergies and hay fever prevented me from making that trip to the reunions to celebrate our Families Heritage on special occassions. Each year my plans were the same, get ready, set but always a don't go because I knew how my body would react in the heat, possibly another prelude to a heat stroke, hives and dehydration as always during the times I was able to attend our Annual Family Reunion. Until I came to the realization I needed to do something about my personal problems before our 2020 Reunion is when I took the initiative to take care of my personal health problems in order to be able to join our Family Reunion this year. But due to the unthinkable we are all aware of, unfortunately it was canceled. But by the grace of God I hope to be here next year to attend. My problems of the Hay, & Allergies have been remedied. Now its time to work on the "Heat" part. I know with the new Pavilion and other Facilities our visits from now on each year will be pleasant and memorable ones. So please along with me and others “who care” let’s find it in our hearts to donate on a continuous basis toward building or re-building and extentions to our community that our Ancestors left for us to serve as good Shepherds over, to use for our many functions and help take care of others in the process. I am looking forward to being here for many more years to celebrate Family and Family Heritage by making the best of what we have been given by the grace of God to serve and help serve. Thank God it is a "Start" toward new and innovative things to come to enhance a community that care by accomplishing the plans for the Pavilion and new Civic Center. God Bless those who can give, have it in their hearts who want to give, but because of one thing or another cannot donate monetarily, does not mean that there are not other ways to help our Community progress. I cannot go without saying, there’s always a way to give tithes and offerings which is through Servitude and any other form of tithes and offerings that will enhance a Community Project. So "Volunteers" are still welcomed and needed. Let’s roll up ours sleeves and (let us) make a collective effort and difference to making this 2020 year a blessing to St. John Colony that will always be remembered. God Bless you all in your giving, no matter how large or small. "Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us." "Let's give God the Glory."
