Shalom Friends and Family,
As you may already know, this March I am drafting into the IDF as a lone soldier through the program Lev Lachayal. Lev Lachayal Supports lone soldiers before, after, and during their service in the IDF. The Lev Lachayal program ensures that the chayalim come home to furnished, cleaned, and maintained homes that are always stocked with food. Caring mentors and Rabbanim run weekly Shabbat and Yom Tov meals, visit our bases, and run programs for us when we are off base. Our community members are also quite active in the program, bringing us extra food and providing rides to the train, all to bring home the message that Am Yisrael stands behind us.
What is a Lone Soldier?
A Lone solider is a chayal whose parents live overseas, and, as such, cannot provide a home base for their child or help maintain and strengthen his morale throughout his service. There are currently over 7000 lone soldiers at some point of their IDF service.
I am Planning on running in the Jerusalem Marathon with Lev Lachayal to support the program that will be supporting me for the next two years. Any Donations are Greatly appreciated by me, the program and all the Chayalim currently defending their country.
With dreams of replicating our model and taking care of hundreds of chayalim annually with this awesome and critical model, we are working towards owning a few soldier homes. Once we do, the significant costs involved in running this program will be sustainable, and we’ll be able to soar with spreading this model. We are just $250,000 away from owning our first home. Let’s buy our first chayal home together, running and sponsoring our soldiers.
