On September 29th, I will be running the Chicago Half Marathon as part of Team Chicago Run.
Chicago Run is an amazing organization with a brilliant idea - to leverage running as a social and psychological activity that brings about a sense of both collaboration and teamwork, as well as a sense of personal achievement. Chicago Run allows kids in Chicago to have that experience in a safe and fun environment.
I speak from experience as someone who hated running as a kid in India. But in the last 10 years, I have taken up running and in spite of the short term pain, I have enjoyed many benefits and made many friends through the process.
Running is personally very rewarding. But anything we do is meaningful only when it has a purpose larger than ourselves. So I am hoping to be a conduit for channeling the goodwill and generosity of my friends and family to enable Chicago Run continue their wonderful programs!
Please join me in supporting this cause! As you know, every dollar counts because it is the act of giving that counts. When you make a contribution - even $1 - it raises awareness for this highly constructive and much needed initiative that Chicago Run is leading! And awareness/knowledge is the foundation of action! So please, please take a minute to make a small contribution! The deadline is September 28th. THANK YOU!!!!!
