Project details are at http://jatayuramatemple.in/
The sacred Jatayupara (Jatayu Rock) is the place where the heroic bird Jatayu, after getting injured by demon king Ravana, spent his last moments waiting to meet Lord Sree Rama. Located in the Kollam district of Kerala, Jatayupara preserves this inspiring episode from Ramayana with world’s biggest sculpture of a bird (Jatayu) and Kodanda Rama temple (under construction) reconsecrated by Swami Sathyananda Saraswathi. Along with the temple, an International Sree Rama Cultural Center is planned to inspire the future generations. Former Governor of Mizoram Sri. Kummanam Rajashekharan is the chief patron for this project. In the name of Lord Sree Rama, financial support is sought from those of you who like to preserve temple’s tradition and cultural heritage.
