My heart has been to fight human trafficking since I was 15 years old. It has been my passion to see those who are unseen have the freedom to work spaces where their dignity is upheld, their value as a human is seen. From highschool to now being 24 I have been a loud and proud advocate for the fight for freedom. In highschool starting an abolitionist club, in college joining and leading an anti-trafficking mobilzation team, and now as a post grad getting the opportunity to serve on the Board for Fair Trade Los Angeles. I whole heartedly believe each life on this planet is valueable, and that noone deserves or should be subjected to the bondage of another person .
I am doing 500 squats to squash human trafficking as my movement challenge. I hope you can join me in partnership to either jump on my team or pledge as little $2 for each squat!!!
Thank you to everyone who pledged during my squats to squash human trafficking during our movement challenge.
Like I stated above, fighting against human trafficking. has been the heartbeat of my life for almost a decade. During highschool I helped to start and led an anti trafficking club on my campus. During my 4 years at Vanguard University, I was a part of and led an anti-trafficking mobilization team that helped to prevent trafficking and raise awareness through peer to peer educational presentations and events.
Fair Trade is a simple, yet effective way to combat trafficking in your everyday life. With each purchase of Fair Trade chocolate, or tea you are helping to equip someone with the resources to get out of poverty, and it reduces their vulnerabilty to human trafficking.
