Help us care for abused and abandoned hunting dogs awaiting transport out of Spain to new homes.
It was tough enough before COVID-19 hit - being a hunting dog in Spain is no honor. Even the best are cast aside after a regular hunting season. And then coinciding with the end of the season, the lockdown was implemented and people are experiencing severe financial stress. So we have a flood of even more hunting dogs being dumped across the country. Our volunteers are rescuing as many as possible and placing them with our partner refuges and foster care homes. These dogs are not regarded as pets and need a second chance for life outside of Spain. Usually, we can move them out in a couple of months after they have received medical care, spay/neutering and vaccinations. But now, with COVID-19 lockdowns, they will have to remain there until the travel bans are lifted. We need your help to care for them until we can bring them to their forever homes in Europe and the United States.
We are grateful to you for helping to care for these loving dogs until we can bring them home. Your gift will provide direct financial support for their medical expenses, food, and boarding. We currently have 35 dogs and counting - This campaign will support 20 of our rescue dogs for the month of May 2020.
