True Colors offers the largest and most comprehensive conference in the country focused on LGBTQ youth issues. Now going into it’s 25th year, the conference hosts more than 3,500 participants from CT, the Northeast and Nationally. With more than 200 workshops to choose from, the conference offers something for everyone!

Unfortunately many YOUTH are unable to attend this life changing event because they cannot afford to and 6 years ago, I made it my passion to run this fundraiser to ensure that all youth who wish to attend this amazing 2 day Conference are able to.

A Message from Robin McHaelen, Executive Director of True Colors, Inc.:
"It is hard to believe that we are hosting our 25th Annual Conference in March of 2018. The world has changed so much—and, in some ways, hasn’t changed at all.
Now, when a child comes out, it can be a non-issue. Their family is fine, the school is fine, their friends are fine—a non-issue until it is not. We wouldn’t have so many LGBTQ youth in our mentoring program if it was a non-issue for every family.
For some children coming out is a minefield and the risks of rejection remains high. LGBT Q youth continue to be at higher risk for substance use and abuse, homelessness, truancy, cutting, smoking cigarettes and suicide. LGBTQ youth are incarcerated at signifi-cantly higher rates that their straight and cisgender peers.
There has been progress and these is much left to do. The True Colors conference offers you the opportunity to participate in making a difference for these amazing, resilient, vulnerable group of children and adolescents.
